Although WCF has serviced this market for over 50 years, the trading title WCF-Phoenix was adopted in 1994 when we purchased Phoenix Distributors based in Bristol. We have offices and over 80,000ft (squared) of dedicated storage at Almondbank on the outskirts of Perth, central Scotland, and are totally focused on supplying high quality seed potatoes to most of the major outlets in the UK including independent retail customers, multiple customers, and mail-order customers. We offer a huge range of varieties for gardeners, including well over 100 different varieties of seed potatoes, both organically and conventionally produced. Our aim is to supply a top quality service for all our customers.
WCF Ltd WCF Ltd is a large, private limited company owned by farmers and employees, comprising a number of small and medium sized businesses, operating in food and non-food markets, with a turnover well in excess of £100m per annum. From its formation in 1911 as an agricultural cooperative, WCF developed into the large company it is today, becoming a private limited company in 1987, divided into 3 divisions namely Retail; Fuels and Produce. Retail consists of a Central Distribution Operation based in Cumbria servicing 17 Retail Country Centres in Northern England and Southern Scotland selling a range of animal feeds and health products; pet care; gardening; clothing and equestrian products.
